If the Primary education at our school forms the bedrock of development of our students, its Secondary education creates the next stage in order to prepare them for life.
With English being the medium of instruction; Tamil and Hindi being, the vernacular languages taught in the school, the students acquire the CBSE curriculum through integrated lesson plans, hands on experience and guided research learning, which helps them to observe, explore and investigate with creativity. The curriculum is skills-based which aims to provide a great way to deliver education with a global perspective. By exposing students to a wide variety of disciplines, both cognitive and non-cognitive skills, are fine-tuned as they prepare for a well-balanced life outside school. This holistic approach to education introduces children to ideas and experiences that will help them become responsible and active participants in the society.
VNPS takes special interest and utmost care in identifying children with learning difficulties in class and accordingly referring them to the Special Education Teacher to conduct remedial classes for those students separately. This alternative provision, practised at our school, educates students in a way that accommodates their individual differences and special needs. The school has shown a hugely commendable result in helping students with special needs, achieve a higher level of self-sufficiency and progress in their performance at school, which may not have been fruitful if they were only given access to a typical classroom education.
The Guidance and Counselling Cell of VNPS , provides services to students and to journey with them in their lives by helping them build more resources within themselves, remove barriers that hinder their growing potential and feel more equipped to find their way in the world. Counselling sessions conducted by our counsellor, offer an opportunity to our students to explore their feelings in a safe environment and help them develop ways to cope with it.
In order to foster a healthy competitive spirit and to create a sense of belonging, all students are divided into four houses. Each house will have a teacher and student representatives. All extra curricular will be focus of competition. Results of all such competitions will be graded and recorded.
